Course Summary

Take in the beauty of autumn while running through one of Asheville's most historic neighborhoods! This beautiful 8k course begins in front of Bankers Insurance at 77 Central Ave. It rolls through downtown Asheville and the historic Montford community, winding past the gravesite of Thomas Wolfe in Riverside Cemetery, to finish where it started.

There are two sprint locations on the course. The 1 Mile Sprint is located at the first mile marker. The second is located at the three mile mark.

  • Start at Bankers Insurance 77 Central Ave.
  • Left on E. Chestnut
  • Continue straight onto W. Chestnut
  • Right on Cumberland Ave.
  • Left on Soco St.
  • Right on Waneta St.
  • Right on Montford Ave.
  • Left on Watuga St.
  • Left on Pearson Dr.
  • Right on Birch St., into Riverside Cemetery, around perimeter, past Thomas Wolfe grave and then back out onto Birch St.
  • Right on Pearson Dr.
  • Left on W. Chestnut, continue across Montford on W. Chestnut.
  • Right on Broadway St.
  • Straight as becomes Lexington Ave.
  • Left on Walnut St.
  • Left on N. Market
  • Right on Woodfin St.
  • Left on Central Ave.
